A lot of penis-shaped weather systems that go viral on the internet are due to the psychological condition known as pareidolia, which is our desire to recognize and see familiar objects when they aren’t actually present.

Pareidolia is the reason behind everyone spotting a “man in the moon,” and it also applies to weather systems that look somewhat graphic in nature. Take this tropical storm in Florida. It’s a bit of a stretch, but people went nuts anyway.

However, I am happy to report this storm in Toowoomba, in eastern Australia, looks exactly like a dong.

There’s no mistaking what that storm looks like, and it certainly wasn’t lost on local residents after the image went viral. As one person on Facebook put it, according to the Chronicle, “Looks like strong penetration rapidly moving in likely to produce extreme wet and windy conditions throughout the inner regions.”

The post was also shared on Facebook by the Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O, where it racked up likes and had a tremendously good comments section.

“Wonder if the storm has been circumcised yet 😇”

“watch out it may have been valentines day yesterday but something is coming your way haha”

Something sure is.
