No children were more active in their parent’s presidential campaign in recent history than Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka Trump. The trio became very visible surrogates for their father over the summer and fall of 2016.
With Donald Trump now in office, it would be natural for the public to want to know more about the group, especially since during the election their father touted them as future advisers and worthy of cabinet-level positions in his administration.
But celebrity gossip magazine US Weekly took a slightly different tact, posing the trio, as well as Tiffany and Barron, in a playful manner that left the internet upset.

The article eschews the hard-hitting (Tiffany’s friends can’t wait to post an Insta from the White House!), which is fine, as that is not US Weekly’s style.
But in a world where many believe media must resist Donald Trump (and where Teen Vogue is a leading voice in that endeavor), plenty thought US Weekly was wrong to give the Trump quintet light-hearted coverage.
