Easter is a high holy season celebrating the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But if our lord and savior had seen how we’d mark the occasion two millennia later, he may not have come back at all.

Unless, that is, he felt like saving the poor souls who frequent the Newport Mall in Jersey City, New Jersey. That’s where a fistfight erupted Sunday afternoon—the sabbath!—between a man hired to play the Easter bunny and several shoppers who apparently got him hopping mad. (Although his rabbit head is nowhere to be seen, the rest of the costume is in full effect.)

NJ.com has yet to receive comment from police on how the brawl kicked off, though regulars of Jersey malls will understand that all it takes is one small misunderstanding to light the powder keg.
