It’s a hot time to be a buffalo, and we’re not talking about spicy wing sauce.
The hairy, hoofed beast has long been overlooked, but recently he’s been getting the Internet recognition he deserves. Earlier this year, a majestic being by the name of Sparky made headlines that he was doing just fine after getting struck by lightning. And now a baby bison has stolen our hearts by standing up to a bullying wolf.
Video from National Geographic shows the tussle between this lil’ buffalo and the carnivorous canine. We get it, everyone in the animal kingdom has to eat. But this wolf picked on the wrong calf to try to make his dinner.

Meanwhile, those geese are just sitting on the sidelines watching. What ever happened to bystander intervention? Geese, I mean, jeeze.
