Bluetooth-enabled sex toys will make virtual-reality porn even more stimulating

Virtual-reality porn is already very much a thing, and I’ve taken it for a spin first-hand, but when it comes to simulated sex, the lack of touch is a pretty serious drawback. Leading VR porn producer VirtualRealPorn is teaming up with Internet-connected sex toy manufacturer Lovense to bridge that gap, letting you touch your porn.

Lovense’s male and female adult toys will now provide haptic feedback to match the action happening on screen, syncing with VirtualRealPorn’s 180-degree head tracking VR videos. When the performers touch, the toy in question—whether it’s the “Nora” vibrator or the “Max” masturbator—will respond in kind.

For the ladies, the Nora device will match its rotating wiggle to the speed of the action, while the Max sleeve will expand and contract to the same rhythm. Both gadgets vibrate during on-screen body contact.

If you’re an adult-film connoisseur worried that all the fun will be saved for Oculus Rift owners, fear not: VirtualRealPorn’s technology is compatible with the Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, Durovis Dive 5, and Oculus. If you want to jump into the future of porn, you’ll need one of those headsets, a Lovense device, and a subscription to VirtualRealPorn.

It won’t come cheap, but that’s the price you pay to be on the cutting edge of digital sex.
