Tinder isn’t just the premier way to meet sexy, single strangers at the touch of a finger. The swipe-based dating app has cultivated its own growing industry with consulting services, photographers offering professional profile pictures, and so many options for auto-likers you’ll want to puke.
But Mike Cowen, CEO of ad buying and planning agency iCrave Media, is hoping to set himself apart by offering users an entire suite of features that takes the swipe-to-like app to the next level. His brainchild, Tinderoid, came to him on vacation when he saw two of his best friends swiping right on every user. “They don’t even look at the profile pictures,” a surprised Cowen told TechVibes.
Their actions inspired an auto-liker feature with the potential to like as many as 10,000 users in a few seconds. But who’s impressed with the old auto-liker trick anymore? Tinderoid has a few more gimmicks up its sleeve that mostly fulfills its promise of making the dating app “a whole lot better for you.”
With Tinderoid, users have the ability to search for their soulmate or next hookup using keywords. As the Tinderoid app page proudly announces, the service makes it easy for you to “find your friends, people with common interests, or even listed social media accounts like SnapChat.” For those who want to scrutinize their potential partners on a larger screen, the app also allows you to take Tinder to larger-format devices like the iPad.

The next incarnation of Tinderoid is slated to be unveiled next week, with Cowen promising a feature that allows users to change their location. So before you depart for your next business trip or vacation, you’ll already have all your possible company lined up. That way, “you don’t waste any time when you get there,” Cowen said.
The app name is partially a cautionary tale, though. Take it from those who have used performance enhancers to get ahead in sports: You might just get left with shrunken balls and mired in public humilitation. If you’re lucky enough to meet someone on Tinder IRL, prove to her you’re not a douche who needs to use auto-likers to get a date.
