Windows Phone fans have been on a bit of an upswing recently. The app gap has gotten thinner, HTC jumped on with the One M8, and the Microsoft Band is the perfect accessory to your Cortana-infused phone. Sadly, another blow has been dealt to famed Windows Phone app developer Rudy Huyn.

His client app for Secret, called 6cret, is being pulled from the Windows Phone store after Secret employee Jared McGuire filed a complaint with Microsoft.

Huyn posted a copy of the complaint against him and 6cret. It details that Secret does not have public APIs and that making apps with its APIs is a violation of its terms and services.

He also tweeted that he’s only made $180 from the app in the three months since it’s been out.

And because I’ve no secret about #6cret, I’ve only earned $180 with 6cret in 3 months. #notForMoney pic.twitter.com/AYuYd2uvE3

This isn’t the first time his apps have been pulled due to copyright claims: His client app for Tinder was also nixed from the Windows Store. Other developers started releasing client apps for Tinder, and were not handed cease-and-desist letters. Huyn threw the app back up and hasn’t received any complaints since.

As of now, 6cret is still available for download. If Secret is worried about developers releasing third-party clients for its app, it probably should just make an official Windows app.
