Youtube’s comment section, one of the most racist, depraved, and grammatically challenged places on the searchable Web, just got a little more tolerable thanks to a Web browser plugin AlienTube that replaces YouTube comments with those from Reddit.

“Reddit is an amazing community that generally has more insightful commentary than that which you can find in the YouTube and Google+ comment section, and now it is easier than ever to participate,” developer Alex Glomsaas wrote.

The way it works is whenever a video is posted on a subreddit, the Reddit comment section is embedded below the YouTube clip. You can then add a comment and and vote on others.

While Glomsaas’s intentions make sense, Reddit’s comment section, is often just as lowbrow and uninspired. For example, check out the comments in this thread for a video of NBA superstar LeBron James allegedly farting during a game.
