If you would have told me this morning that I’d see one of the most amazing toast-related inventions of our day by the time the sun set, I’d have called you a liar. Yet here we are, and the FurzoToasto—an electrically powered metal knife capable of both slicing and toasting a piece of bread in one stroke—is very much real.

The knife is the brainchild of Colin Furze, who took a random fan comment from YouTube and turned it into a working piece of culinary genius.
Furze fashioned a large bandsaw-like tool and connected an electrical lead to each end. Once power is applied, the blade glows a bright red and is ready to perform its dual-purpose trick.
