The Eagles will not be the only bird on the menu today at AT&T Stadium when the Dallas Cowboys host their rivals from Philadelphia.

The estimated 90,000 fans will find more than the usual dogs and beer on the menu. Like everything in Texas, Turkey Day is done up big with the concessions offering holiday food for those who miss the yearly, traditional meal. Watching the game in person while eating your festive fare is a double-dip of delight for Cowboys fans (and the few brave Eagles fans in attendance).

A news report on Dallas TV station WFAA says Legends Concessions will be cooking close to 12,000 pounds of turkey as well as specialty desserts. The news story adds that AT&T Stadium is the only station in the NFL with a pastry kitchen and pastry chef. To that, I say, pass the pecan pie.

For fans who trek to the super-sized stadium, located in Arlington, Texas, buying food inside the mammoth structure is the only option. AT&T Stadium has very strict rules on what can be brought inside. The items permitted are a small clutch purse (no handbags), clear tote bag, or one one-gallon resealable plastic bag. Other than those who have a medical necessity, no food or beverages are permitted inside the Cowboys home field.

A review of the standard fare at AT&T Stadium gets high praise with fairly decent prices and even options for healthy eaters. On the other hand, there are some great places nearby to eat before and after the game. Having chowed down at Eddie Deen Crossroads before a Texas Rangers game (the baseball and football stadiums are across the street from one another), I assure you having some brisket for your holiday is a can’t miss proposition.
