We’ve all fallen for fake viral photos, so we have to have a bit of sympathy for conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza, who tweeted out this old-school photo of Hillary Clinton on Tuesday morning.

That’d be a helluva find for those Clinton’s political opponents, especially since she said in June, that the Confederate flag “it shouldn’t fly anywhere” in the United States. Problem is, the flag was Photoshopped into the picture. The original, taken in 1969 for Life Magazine, looks like this.

While some have criticized D’Souza for taking half of a work-day to amend his original tweet, others have taken to criticizing him for pleading guilty in 2014 to illegal campaign contributions.

But the best response by far to D’Souza’s tweet was this:

Update 8:20am CT, July 8: D’Souza had posted the photo to his Facebook page, but it has since been deleted. We have removed the deleted post embedded in this article.
