Tobey Maguire loves the new Spider-Man actor from 'Captain America: Civil War'

A baton passed from one Spider-Man to another.

The introduction of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is one of the major highlights of Captain America: Civil War, and now Holland has the all-important seal of approval from the actor who originated the live-action role.

Some fans may have wanted Tobey Maguire to redon Spider-Man’s iconic suit last year when Sony lent the character to Marvel, but Maguire is a big fan of Holland. He shared a fan video on Instagram that mashed up Peter watching the destruction of New York on a nearby television with Spidey’s intro in the last big Civil War trailer. It’s an epic crowd-pleaser, one that causes Maguire’s Peter to run back home to look at his own suit.
