They call weddings “your special day” for a reason—they’re about making your idea of a magical fairytale come to life.
For Cassie and Lewis, that meant a very Harry Potter sort of day.
The Manchester couple took it upon themselves to summon the spirit of J.K. Rowling’s famous series in every detail of their wedding. From Cassie’s nails to the paper flowers in the groom and groomsmen’s button holes, their passion for all things Potter shines.
Cassie even made her own bouquet by hand, which is composed of tiny flowers created out of the pages of the Harry Potter books. She had such a good time of it that she even has her own Facebook page dedicated to crafts, so if you’re dying for your own Harry Potter bouquet you might want to chat with her!
Lewis actually proposed to Cassie during a visit to the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. From there, it was all up to them how to craft the fictional world they loved so much into their wedding day—and they did a tremendous job of it.
For her bridesmaids, Cassie had special bracelets made in a delicate silver with the Golden Snitch attached—a little easier to hold onto than the real thing!
A co-worker of Cassie’s created this regal cake for the event with two precious little books on top with spines that read “Lewis” and “Cassie.” Here it’s framed in a room that seems quite worthy of Hogwarts itself.
Lewis and Cassey chose the Manchester Town Hall in England for their special spot, which currently houses the Manchester City Council. Isn’t it drop dead gorgeous?
Congrats to the happy couple, although we don’t think they need it—if their passion is as strong as their fandom, they’ll be together for a long time to come.
