Convicted sex offender and Ohio State University football fan Charles Eric Waugh has officially cost his team a major prospect.

Alex Anzalone, ranked by ESPN as the 5th best outside linebacker in the 2013 class, took back his commitment to Ohio State after the school’s associate athletic director warned the university’s student-athletes to be wary of Waugh and block him on Twitter.

“Something’s just not right at Ohio State,” Anzalone’s father told the Reading Eagle, indicating that the last straw was when he saw that Waugh had tweeted out a photo of himself with Alex, apparently taken when the high-school student was visiting on a recruiting trip.

Waugh, who tweeted under the username @BdubsTriviaGuru, has since deleted his account. Anzalone, on the other hand, now has to deal with irate Buckeye fans on Twitter.

@AlexAnzalone_24 decommitted from OhioState over a situation like that? Pussy much?” Josh Fisher wrote.

@AlexAnzalone_24 Aw, your daddy feared for your life? You’re supposedly a grown ass man? Weak Sauce,” Cody Wagner tweeted.

Anzalone seems unphased by them, however.

@cjwaggysnacks it’s getting worked out. You’re not helping your cause, so calm down,” he responded.
