The revolution won’t be televised, but it will be broadcast live on the Internet.

The Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement returned to New York City’s Zuccotti Park this weekend, a demonstration meant to commemorate the six-month anniversary of the movement’s first occupation.

Around the country, followers of the movement kept up with the action on sites like Ustream and Livestream, where OccupyNYC is currently running a feed of the demonstrations.

“Our only advice to you is to continue and occupy more,” one unidentified demonstrator said in a speech. “Take pleasure in what you’re doing. Have fun, even. We’re all watching one another now.”

The streams helped keep demonstrators informed of the most active OWS weekend since demonstrators got kicked out of Zuccotti Park on Nov. 15. According to a tweet from @UneditedCamera, whose Ustream coverage of the demonstrations has been a popular destination for out of town onlookers, over 18 people were arrested during the stand-in, including @occupymusician, who’s gained notoriety for broadcasting her OWS experiences on Livestream.

One demonstrator facing potential legal action is Ovieda, Fla., resident Rusty Braxton, who managed to cause a stir from over 1,000 miles away when he posted “we won’t make a difference if we don’t kill a cop or 2” onto Tim Pool’s Ustream feed. According to Joe Brooks, a self-proclaimed “Conservative Citizen Journalist,” the New York Police Department is currently investigating the tweet.

Braxton responded to Brooks’s tweet yesterday afternoon by saying that he didn’t do anything wrong. But on Twitter, Braxton’s on the lam. Both of his usernames—@anoncanon and @smackema1—were deleted this morning.

Stay tuned.
