Reddit is mourning one of its own today.

Harry Delmolino passed away Wednesday from head injuries suffered in a collision with a car while on his bicycle. On Reddit Delmolino was known as no_numbers_here, an active moderator at the site’s 40,000 strong r/bicycling community.

Delmolino was left-hooked by an oncoming vehicle in the middle of intersection while riding his bicycle on May 19. He was not wearing a helmet.

After Delmolino passed away on May 23, the community’s remaining moderators posted an obituary to r/bicycling. It soon became a kind of digital wake. Redditors offered their condolences, and shared memories.

“Anyone who needed help with anything could always count on Harry’s kindness, experience and patience,” the obituary read. “He inspired many with his love for cycling.”

One Redditor who apparently knew Delmolino personally shared poignant anecdotes:

I’ll remember the times we goofed off when we should have been working, telling terrible jokes and stealing food off each other’s plates at lunch. I miss our daily argument over whether bikes or motorcycles are better. I miss getting a text with silly bits from reddit or the chance to hang out for the occasional lunch. He was too young to leave and I wish his family strength and inner peace in dealing with this tragedy. Till the next time buddy.

Delmolino was 18-years-old and studying computer science at Amherst College at the time of the accident.

“We grieve for our friend Harry and give our condolences to his family and friends,” the obituary continued. “Harry, we miss you. Ride on forever.”
