Everyone looked forward to the first day of school for one simple reason: textbooks. It wasn’t so much about the knowledge that was printed on the page but how the students before you had taken to the margins of these books to deface the photos with sophomoric jokes. Who among us didn’t revel in the crude captions and genitalia that adorned pictures printed in a book about the Renaissance?
But this is 2015, and kids these days have far too much technology on their hands to deface textbooks with a simple pen or pencil. When it comes to passing the time till the final class bell rings, kids have taken to Snapchat to deface images in their textbooks, and the results are absolutely hilarious.
On Thursday, Imgur user “MycketKreativNamn” posted a gallery of photos from her literature book sent by her friends via the app. Here are a few of our favorites.
