Snoop Dogg wants to be Twitter’s next CEO

Could he be the leader the company needs, rather than the one it wants?

Now that former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo is out as head of the company, Snoop Dogg has announced his “candidacy” as replacement CEO.

Of course, this is not how such things work—Twitter has already named co-founder Jack Dorsey as the interim CEO until the board can decide on who should ultimately replace Costolo.

There’s also a shortlist, and Snoop’s nowhere to be found on it. It includes names like Anthony Noto (Twitter’s Chief Financial Officer) and Adam Bain (President of Global Revenue).

This doesn’t mean the people don’t want Snoop as CEO, though. The #SnoopForCEO hashtag is blowing up, with plenty of his fans throwing their support behind him.

It will never actually happen—but we can always dream.
