After a rough outing in Week 1 of the 2015 season, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was placed on Tuesday’s practice report with a back injury. Though Manning—who was sacked four times by the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday—participated fully in Tuesday’s practice, the fact that Denver felt it necessary to make everybody aware that Manning had some aches and pains was a newsworthy item.

So, naturally Manning was asked about it after practice, and in the course of his stock answer, he came up with a fantastic idea. He made up his own injury report for some of the media members who were asking him questions. Tables: turned.

And in case not all of that made sense, here’s the transcript.

Unsurprisingly, the media members who mentioned were quick to deny and/or embrace the latest news on their maladies.

At least, though, the media members know where they stand.
