Life lesson: Don’t pull punches, or a proud old dog will knock you off your feet.
In this clip—uploaded to Chechen video network VayTube’s YouTube channel this month—a young fighter meets an old vet in a boxing gym. He’s in shape and not interested in harming his elderly sparring partner. His opponent may be wearing what appears to be a bad holiday sweater, but when you have a mean left hook and a lifetime of moves to dish out, you part the sea.
Until the ‘60s, kids loved boxing, baseball, and cars. Hell, my dad plays the clarinet but he still keeps a punching bag in the backyard next to the grill. Those boyish hobbies are decidedly different these days, and that cost this young fighter his dignity. Let’s hope he can at least change a flat tire.
