The Jade Helm 15 military exercise has raised a lot of concerns from conspiracy theorists and those who listen to them. The exercises, scheduled to run from Wednesday through Sept. 15, are reportedly being executed to give soldiers experience with operating in unfamiliar environments.

The conspiracies range from the fact that the government is preparing the public for seeing troops on the streets, in order to not catch them by surprise when the real military action against our citizens begins; to the fact that the government is completely taking over Texas altogether, because a map from the exercise—which, to be clear, is for a fictional mission—has labeled the state as “hostile.” While the details may be a bit different from the various theorists, they do seem to all agree that Jade Helm is going to end in our guns being taken away. (Yes, even that stash you’ve got buried in the backyard—that’s  probably the first one they’ll seize.)

A focal point for the theories involves closed-down Walmarts being used as storage facilities and/or containment camps. And so YouTuber Chris Martin, on his channel Get Right America, decided to venture to one location himself—right in the danger zone of San Angelo, Texas—to see what “sinister” plans were taking shape:

Despite the top YouTube commenter being convinced that this man is absolutely serious, we think Martin has done a fairly stand up job of showing how silly the conspiracies really are.

While he only has one video posted on his channel, we hope he continues to stay on top of these pressing matters of national concern.
