Kanye West went straight-up looneybin on Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night after learning that the late-night talk-show host had run a bit poking fun at the rapper during his Tuesday night telecast.
The bit in question is streaming below. It finds Kimmel cracking jokes about West's recent extended interview with BBC before replaying the interview with two children taking West and the interviewer's place.
It's decently funny. Apparently Kanye West did not agree.
West jumped onto Twitter for the first time in two weeks (aside from a brief promotion for his upcoming album, My Name Is My Name) to tell his 9.8 million followers, in all caps, that "Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years."
He continued for the next 47 minutes, writing entirely in caps that he did not take Kimmel's efforts as a joke.
"You don't have scum bags hopping over fences trying to take pictures of your daughter," he said "Put yourself in my shoes. Oh no that means you would have gotten too much good pussy in your life."
West then continued as follows.
YOU CAN'T PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. YOUR FACE LOOKS CRAZY… IS THAT FUNNY?… OR IF I HAD A KID SAY IT WOULD IT BE FUNNY???— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
At one point, he wrote that he went to Kimmel's family's wedding, although family weddings aren't really a thing.
I LIKE YOU, YOU KNOW ME, I WENT TO YOUR FAMILY'S WEDDING— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
He added something about a phone call later. The kicker was either when West used Kimmel's ex-girlfriend to attack him…
SARAH SILVERMAN IS A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER THAN YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
…Or when he just posted a homemade meme of Kimmel looking like an idiot.
He closed with another meme, one that finds Spongebob Squarepants in the middle of a very strange triangle of hate.
Kimmel has responded in earnest, telling his 2.9 million followers that he'll "tell… the whole story about Kanye West tonight on the show" and that, unlike his foils with Matt Damon, "this is not a prank."
Molly McNearney, Kimmel's wife and co–head writer on his show, added that she "couldn't be happier," and changed her profile photo to that meme you see above.
"Jimmy is like a kid in a Kanye store," she said.
Holy moly, aren't we all?
