President Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday night covered everything from the economy to the minimum wage to healthcare, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from asking these people.

In Jimmy Kimmel’s recurring segment, “Lie Witness News,” he sends someone out to ask random people in Hollywood about what happened at a big event... the night before the event actually happens. On one occasion, he asked people whether they prefer the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare, which are two names for the same thing.

Kimmel struck again before the State of the Union address, and considering it had yet to happen, his targets could only respond to reporter’s vague questions with even more vague answers.

“I’m not sure if he was asleep or ‘resting his eyes’ as they say,” said one person.

This time around, one person eventually had the sense to admit that he hadn’t seen the address while another only admitted that he may have “nodded off” during part of it when the reporter called him out. The rest seemed to have no issue with lying through their teeth in front of a camera.

You know, you’re allowed to admit that you haven’t seen it. And if you missed it, there’s only a few seconds from it that you really need to watch.
