Getting children to learn a new language can be a rather difficult task. That’s why companies spend thousands of dollars on ad campaigns and marketing to make becoming bilingual fun. But instead of targeting kids with cute and colorful cartoons like Muzzy or Dora the Explorer, one Japanese English school decided to go full-on nightmare fuel with its latest campaign.

Behold the latest commercial for Seiha English Academy. To celebrate 30 years of instructing eager young students with top-notch English lessons, the Fukuoka-based school decided to create an ad showing exactly how fluent their pupils have become.

The only problem is, the ad ended up more disturbing than illuminating.

According to Rocketnews24.com, the father in the ad asks his son in Japanese, “So, how are your English lessons these days?” But instead of hearing his son cheerfully respond about his recent success, the father is horrified to see his son open his mouth to reveal a disembodied head—one that speaks English so perfectly it causes an old woman to scream in fear.

It all makes sense given that the brief ad ends with the tagline “So much English skill that you won’t believe it’s your kid talking.” But after watching this terrifying video, you’ll never want your child to open his or her mouth again.
