In the real world, cats might have only nine lives. But online, they can live forever—take Lil Bub, Grumpy Cat, or even hero cat for example. While these three felines might live long healthy lives IRL, in the Internet pantheon they are already immortal.

Joining that trio of star-worthy felines is a stray cat from Kennesaw, Ga. that fell 50 feet to safety after being stuck up a tree for three days. A tree company was called to rescue the kitty—part of a litter that had been abandoned in a nearby park—according to neighbors. Joey Pike, of Pike’s Tree Service, climbed up 50 feet to rescue the feline. “Folks need some help to get a cat out, that ain’t no bid deal, as long as it don’t bite me,” he humbly stated.

While Pike was busy clearing some branches between himself and the stranded cat, the animal lost its footing and plummeted all the way down to a group of individuals holding a sheet and bracing for impact.

According to one of the neighbors who helped coordinate the rescue effort, the cat will be taken in by Inspire Pet Rescue and become available to adopt for the holidays.
