Hey, ladies: When you travel by plane, do you secretly wish that more creepy dudes would solicit you for mid-flight sex? Do you spend your travel time daydreaming that a medical equipment salesman from Kenosha will plop down next to you, insist on buying you a drink, and talk about his speedboat while breathing airline cheese-and-cracker fumes in your face?

Have we got an app for you!

Wingman is a new app that “connects you to attractive people on your flight, all before you touch down.” Created by 24-year-old copywriter Gabe Whaley, it’s like Tinder, but in the troposphere

Basically, here’s how the app works: You enter your airline, seating information, and whether you’re traveling for “business or pleasure” (because people under the age of 75 who are not in the service industry totally still ask that question). Wingman then shows you a list of travelers registered for your flight.

If you find one of them attractive, you can choose to chat with them before and during the flight. Although Whaley says it’s “incredibly unrealistic” that the app would help facilitate illicit airplane bathroom hookups, Wingman can help increase your chances of joining the Mile-High Club. (Why anyone would continue to even entertain that fantasy after seeing Snakes on a Plane [NSFW] is beyond me.)

Wingman is still in development, but Whaley and his team hope to launch it on iOS by April. They’re currently looking for beta testers, though, so if you’re a frequent flyer looking for someone to shift the contents of your pants during flight, sign up on their website.
