Reality fashion competition Project Runway crowned the winner of its 14th season, but she’s the first of her kind. On Thursday night, Ashley Nell Tipton became the first plus-size designer from Project Runway to show at Fashion Week—and she won the whole damn thing.
“Just being on this show is unbelievable,” Tipton, 24, told the New York Times back in August. “And then, I have to look on the other side and see that now I’m the only plus-size designer. This is crazy, like to the point where I could make history right now.”
And after the show’s finale, it was confirmed that she truly has made history.
