The dudes behind the amateur teen website GirlsDoPorn.com (NSFW, obvi) must exclusively scout for talent at regional beauty pageants. That’s the only explanation for why Kristy Althaus, the runner-up for the Miss Colorado Teen USA 2012 pageant, was revealed to have allegedly appeared in a porn video on the site, making her the second Miss Teen USA winner in less than a year to have done so.
According to Gawker, a video of what appears to be an 18-year-old Althaus surfaced on the website imagepost.com (very, very NSFW) a little less than a week ago. In the video, a woman who bears a strong resemblance to Althaus discusses threesomes and her porn viewing habits before partaking in a vigorous bout of PIV intercourse with her co-star.
After Gawker brought the video to the attention of the Miss Teen USA website, Althaus’ name was promptly scrubbed from the list of former pageant winners and runners-up. Neither Althaus nor the production company behind the Miss Teen USA pageant responded to Gawker’s requests for comment.
If this story sounds a bit familiar to you, that’s because it is: Last November, the former Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King was dethroned after it was revealed she had filmed a scene with the same website. Like Althaus, King was 18 when she made the video; unlike King, the woman in the video does not identify herself as a beauty pageant winner on camera (she also doesn’t look as if she’d rather be sitting in an algebra test prep session than having sex on camera, as King did in her scene).
In light of the King debacle, the Miss Teen USA pageant’s decision to wipe Althaus from the record books raises an awful lot of questions. For starters: How was this video found? Why would someone go out of their way to ruin Althaus’ pageant career (and, potentially, the rest of her life) by exposing her? Is it even legal for the pageant to punish contestants who might have done adult work in the past? (As Gawker notes, the Miss Teen USA website guidelines do not explicitly prohibit contestants from doing adult work.) And, perhaps most importantly: Why the hell does anyone care what two, or three, or 60 consenting adults do in front of a camera?
Either way, pro tip for aspiring beauty queens: if you want to keep doing pageants, it’s probably a good idea to stay away from GirlsDoPorn until you’ve spent at least a few years off the circuit.
