When artist Lee Johns Phillips’ grandfather passed away, he left behind a tool shed full of treasures. Now, the nails, jars, screwdrivers, and other widgets sitting in his workspace have inspired the younger Phillips to honor his late grandfather with The Shed Project.

Phillips is drawing every one of the more than 100,000 items in the shed, a project that he estimates will take him about five years. So far, he has drawn approximately 4,000 objects.

Phillips is sharing his progress on this touching and impressive project on Instagram

He even found an old camera and Swiss Army Knife.

And it looks like he still has quite a lot to go through.

You can follow Phillips’ progress on the beautiful memorial on Instagram.
