You might want to stand up and stretch for this one.

When you’re right in the middle of your latest Netflix binge, it’s hard to imagine going outside for days at a time. But as it turns out, staying inside indefinitely might do serious harm in the long run.

Going outside and getting exposed to the sun is beneficial to your health. Not only is the exposure of Vitamin D from the sun good for your bones, it can help prevent some diseases. Plus, if you’re inside all the time, you’re probably sitting down, and sitting down all the time can put you at risk for other ailments.

And if you can’t step away from that episode of Orange is the New Black to go outside? Make a compromise: take your laptop outside and stretch after every episode or two.
