Sonia Rochel is a nurse at Paris’s renowned Clinique de la Muette, and she’s been working on a new Thalasso baby spa technique for newborns. But what she witnessed when she tried it on newborn twins gives us a glimpse of what life might be like for them in the womb.

According to French news site The Local, Rochel is somewhat famous for her technique, which “sees babies, normally just a few weeks old, bathed and massaged for 15 minutes to the sound of relaxing music, without the use of any gels or creams. Rochel wanted to show that bath time for newborns should be a relaxing experience for both baby and parent.”

As she gently washes and caresses the baby boy and girl, whose eyes are barely open, they cling to each other much like they might in the womb.

Of course, we have no way to know what they’re thinking or feeling in these moments, but they’ll have a long time to refine the bond that only twins know.
