Disney World is the happiest place on Earth for so many children. But it’s an especially magical place for a young girl named Giselle who has Down syndrome.
Her parents, Kristina and Matthew Bewley of Jacksonville, Fla., take their 4-year-old daughter to Disney World about once a month with season passes because they see just how much joy being at the park brings to her.
“She is non-verbal but you can see the way she lights up when we arrive,” Kristina told the Huffington Post. “She’s happy just strolling, waving at everyone.”
Kristina shares photos of Giselle on the Facebook page of her company, Giselle Evelyn Photography. She hand-makes a different Disney princess dress or character outfit for each visit, which you can see in the adorable photos.
Kristen also said that going to Disney has caused a noticeable change in Giselle’s self-esteem and when she’s at the park she’s just “a little girl having a great time, enjoying life in one of the most innocent stages we have.”
Her ultimate goal is to show people that “The only disability in life is a bad attitude.”
