Dogs typically take a special place in their owner’s heart, especially ones that have been with their human for the long haul. And it’s always hard to say goodbye to man’s best friend once the grim reaper comes knocking.
Photographer and outdoorsy man Ben Moon wanted to make sure his farewell for his dog Denali was beautiful. So he made a short film about their friendship, told from the pooch’s point of view. The video chronicles everything from their early days to Moon’s battle with cancer, which he eventually beat.
But in 2014, Denali fell ill and succumbed to cancer. Moon will always have his tribute to remind him of their love for one another.
Moon has also taken to Instagram to share photos of him and Denali together.
The two stuck with one another, through thick and thin. Dogs and their best friends always give us the feels, like the story of the man taking his dying dog on a bucket list road trip.
