Ron Paul isn’t the only notable Republican who’s feeling silenced during that party’s national convention.
Former Alaska Governor and Fox News commentator Sarah Palin wrote an odd, and oddly popular, Facebook status update Wednesday: “I’m sorry Fox cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight.”
Wednesday was the birthday of her former running mate, Senator John McCain. Palin wrote that she “sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain’s positive contributions to America.”
“Our honored and esteemed war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him,” she wrote. “I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches.”
More than 75,000 Facebook users “liked” this post. Though some users wrote negative comments, it seems they’re actively being moderated, as was the case on Palin’s Facebook page in 2010.
“blah blah blah,” wrote Leah Davis.
“we can all be so lucky. i have heard enough stupid for now,” wrote Lynda Stone Zimmerman.
Both of those comments were erased within three minutes.
Of course, Palin still has plenty of fans.
“You are doing a great job,” wrote John Lawson. “Even the FOX media doesn’t have a clue of what is going on.”
