Google, "Gangnam Style," and the Humble Bundle top the list of Reddit's most resubmitted links.

Rainy Mood, the Procrastinator, and Rick Astley’s famous “Never Gonna Give You Up” music video are three of the most  frequently submitted links on Reddit since 2011.

Over the course of a month and a half, software engineer Max Woolf (minimaxir on Reddit) analyzed 41 million submissions using Reddit's API, creating a comprehensive list of the most-submitted links from Aug. 11, 2011 through Sept. 26 of this year.

Claiming the top two spots is Google (with both http://www.google.com and http://google.com) followed by r/MakeNewFriendsHere/, a subreddit where people can find someone to talk to.

Notably missing from the top 25 is Imgur.com, a free image hosting service that receives more than 16 percent of its traffic from Reddit. This could either mean that images are reposted through Imgur using new URLs or, as Woolf suggested, “maybe everyone rehosts the images themselves for that sweet, sweet view count.”

Seven of the top links are for YouTube videos, including Ylvis's “The Fox,” “Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared,” and Charlie Chaplin's final speech in the film The Great Dictator. The most resubmitted YouTube video was Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” with 223 submissions.

The most surprising entry on the list is the obscure dance song “Coreshine Candyflip Vol. 1” by Mullato Thunders, coming in at number 22. However, it looks like some of the song's 112 submissions might not be legitimate.

“It's worth noting that the spammer deliberately used different accounts and submitted to different subreddits for each link,” Woolf said. “Had he not done both, [Reddit’s] spam filter would have likely caught it.”

Below are the top 25 resubmitted links. Check out Woolf’s Excel document for the top 500.

Male birth control is finally coming
Although there are a panoply of options available for female contraception—hey there, pill! Hiya, IUD! What’s up, female condom that looks like those rainbow-colored inner tubes you used to crawl through during third-grade gym class!—researchers have been trying to develop a form of male birth control for years, to no avail.

Women of Reddit have some excellent advice for guys
If you’ve ever come across the #EverydaySexism hashtag or Twitter campagns like Hollaback, you’ll know that street harassment is a major problem for a lot of women. (If you’ve ever been a woman, you likely know this too.) In some neighborhoods, women can barely go outside without having catcalls, whistles, and come-ons thrown at them.
