A Muslim-owned Turkish restaurant in London is offering homeless and elderly people a free meal on Christmas Day so “no one eats alone.”

Shish Restaurant in the Sidcup neighborhood is offering a three-course meal of soup and cacik to start, a vegetarian or meat-based dish as the main course, and rice pudding for dessert, all free of charge for the homeless and elderly. The sign states, “No one eats alone on a Christmas Day.”

The gesture has been met with praise from the community all over social media, with people calling it “heartwarmingly brilliant” and a “selfless act.”
