You can now be in the Kim Kardashian sex tape, thanks to virtual reality

Kim K sex VR experience

Lookalike actors recreate the infamous video for VR.

However you feel about Kim Kardashian and her path to fame, remember that it started when her private sex tape was leaked and made available for viewing without her consent, which is a form of sexual harassment. And now the company that did that, Vivid Entertainment, has built a VR porn experience around that tape.

The new experience uses lookalike actors to mimic Kardashian’s famous sex tape with Ray J, which Vivid bought in 2007. Kardashian sued the company, and received a settlement of $5 million, and you can still watch the original tape on Vivid’s site. The 20-minute VR video is advertised as “your first chance to see what it would be like to make your own personal home video with the reality celebutante, Miss Kim Kardashian. She comes right out of her famous home video with Ray J to have some fun with you.”

The Daily Dot has reached out to Vivid and to Kardashian to see if she was given notice of the new experience, but Vivid is also advertising that you can watch the original sex tape in VR. Which is precisely what VR was created for, right?

This Kim Kardashian 'robbery victim' costume is insensitive garbage
Kim Kardashian puts herself out there, so it's fair game to ridicule her. We've all heard this argument. Sure, a public figure is a public figure, but it's one thing to go dressed as a Kim K. selfie, and quite another to poke fun of the victim of a robbery. Because in case you missed our explainer on insensitive Halloween costumes, putting a gun to a woman's head and tying her up to a chair and making her fear for her life is nothing to make fun of.
