What’s better than a homage to everyone’s favorite Star Wars droid?

A whole gallery full of them, of course.

When they’re not making collectible figurines for geeks to enjoy, toy manufacturer Sideshow has an artistic side. It recently invited an impressive array of artists—”over 90 friends and fans”—to remix and reimagine the iconic design of R2-D2 for its new mini-droid figurine exhibit, “R2-Me2.”

Fans attending last week’s Celebration got to preview the exhibit, and now the full show is online as a digital art gallery.

The results range from amusing to “woah,” and the best part is that there are nearly a hundred of them. Check out some of our favorites from the convention floor:

Though the hits of the show mixed other pop culture icons (like the Doctor Who Dalek shown above), as you can see from the gallery, sometimes it’s just about getting creative…

Or going full-on Dieselpunk

Or turning your favorite R2 unit into a killer George Foreman.

You can see the full gallery here, and check out more photos from the Celebration exhibit through the #R2Me2 hashtag on Instagram.
