Many things are created for the sake of art. Sometimes those things have no functional use whatsoever, but they’re there to be provocative and moving.

Depending on your perspective, PS4-themed Nike Air Jordan’s with HDMI ports could be just such an exhibit.

Jonny Barry from FreakerSNEAKS is the man behind the “JRDN X PS4” sneakers. His goal is to make custom sneakers for those who don’t want to be seen in department store shoes.

While standing in line to buy a brand new PS4, he came up with the idea to cross a pair of shoes with the Japanese video game system, and the iconic Air Jordans seemed to fit the bill.

To make his sneakers stand out, he decided to add an HDMI port to the heel of each shoe, neither of which has a functional purpose. That is unless you want to plug in the custom HDMI cable into both shoes to create some makeshift bolas.

Barry only plans on making 10 sets of shoes, selling each pair just under $1,000. Email him fast before they’re all gone.
