A new collection will give Dark Souls II veterans fresh content to keep them busy, and newcomers on two different platforms will have their first opportunity to earn a Dark Souls badge on their sleeve.

Bandai Namco announced Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin today via a new trailer on YouTube. Scholar of the First Sin will include the original Dark Souls II, and the three expansions (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King). This compendium will also include unique content including new characters and storylines.

Dark Souls II was previously available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The PC version naturally would have higher graphics quality, but every version of Dark Souls II, regardless of platform, received critical acclaim. Ostensibly that means the new content, versus the improved visuals for moving to PS4 and Xbox One, will be the chief draw for Scholar of the First Sin.

Scholar of the First Sin will be released on April 7 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
