Oh, they've heard of this one.

Video games will come and go, but the urge to knock your friends off a track with shells, bananas, and shrinkable lightning is timeless.

The Fine Brothers put their teen commentators to the test by giving them a retro video game to try. Unlike their past experiences with MegaMan, the teens were promised a somewhat less-traumatizing bout of game play with a game they’ve probably played many times in their childhood: Mario Kart. Though, this was the Mario Kart 64 version of the classic game that we’ve been playing for more than 20 years.

It’s the sort of game that’ll break bonds and ruin friendships, and when these teens face each other in a race tournament it gets competitive.

Naturally, the finalists faced off on Rainbow Road. With bumpers, it’s not as bad as it could’ve been, but it’s still very much the cutthroat bloodbath we’ve come to expect with a dirty fight to the finish.
