The most exciting thing in Batman fandom today is Jared Leto‘s haircut.
Leto is due to play the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie about a team of DC Comics supervillains. For the past few months, Leto has sported long hair and a beard, leading fans to wonder if his Joker was going to have an unexpectedly hirsute appearance. Then on Monday afternoon, Suicide Squad director David Ayer posted these photos.

Yes, Jared Leto has gone back to a more fresh-faced look, reminding us that the 43-year-old actor apparently does not age. Unless Suicide Squad plans to utilize some heavy facial prosthetics, Leto is definitely going to be the prettiest Joker yet.
Suicide Squad is due to start filming next month, and David Ayer has already posted a few photos from the set. Don’t expect anything remotely approaching a spoiler, though.

As for pictures of Jared Leto in his Joker makeup, we probably won’t see anything for a few more months, but David Ayer has described Leto’s version of the character as “Majestic,” if that makes the wait any easier to bear.
