If only Rockstar Games would take us back to Ray Liottaville.

Not all PC game mods are as wild as flying Thomas the Tank Engine dragons and humpback whales dropping from the sky. Even a simple adjustment to a game on PC can lead to wondrous results.

Rockstar Games has brought us back to Liberty City and Los Santos with its modern-day Grand Theft Auto games, running on advanced game engines. YouTuber Taltigolt has uploaded what is hopefully a vision of GTA’s future. Welcome back to Vice City, recreated in the PC version of GTA V.

Grand Theft Auto III may have been the GTA game that blew the franchise up into the media monster it is today. Vice City was the first GTA game to have a proper story—a mob tale starring none other than Ray Liotta from Goodfellas himself—and its incredible 1980s soundtrack spawned multiple albums worth a purchase.

There’s also who’s-who list of supporting actors, back in a day when Hollywood talent was not yet widely associated with video game roles. William Fichtner, Philip Michael Thomas, Burt Reynolds, Robert Davi, Luis Guzmán, Lawrence Taylor, Danny Trejo, Lee Majors, Dennis Hopper, Kevin McKidd, Gary Busey, and Tom Sizemore all had supporting parts in Vice City.

If we had to guess, Rockstar will probably next work on a sequel to Red Dead Redemption before returning to Grand Theft Auto, but hopefully another visit to Vice City really is in our immediate future.
