The weather outside might not frightful yet, but autumn has arrived and that means it’s prime time for all of your favorite scarves and sweaters.

Fortunately in recent years geek fashion companies have provided more options to keep you warm and fashionable when the leaves start to fall. From coats and jackets you can throw on before heading out the door to cool and cozy scarves to long sleeve shirts, here’s a brief guide to some of the best geeky fashion you can wear this season.

1) Jack Skellington moto jacket

With autumn comes Halloween, making it the perfect time to wear this Nightmare Before Christmas jacket from Torrid. The moto jacket features the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town himself, with imagery on the front and back along with zippers on the sleeves and faux leather trim. Its stylish cut makes it ideal for casual outings as the crisp weather moves in.

2) Klingon honor denim jacket

Jean jackets are great for fall. They’ll keep you just warm enough though the changing forecast and look good with basically anything. WeLoveFine’s Star Trek jacket in particular puts a welcome geeky spin on the design and will make you feel like a member of the classic warrior species the Klingons. Complete with Klingon writing on the back, the only question is whether you’ll be able to resist saying Qapla’ when you have it on.

3) Arno coat

UbiWorkshop

Keep out the cold while looking just like a character from Assassin’s Creed Unity. This coat is a replica of the one Arno Dorian wears, but according to the website it’s a version updated for our times. Only fellow die-hard fans will recognize the geekiness of this subtle outerwear. However it does come at a hefty price. Costing $269.99 in the UbiWorkShop store, fans might have to save up to be able to sport it.

4) Star Wars men’s fleece varsity jacket

For a more affordable and slightly more overtly geeky look, there’s always this Star Wars jacket from Walmart for $19.98. With its classic varsity style, the black and grey jacket only has the franchise’s logo on the front. The logo makes it clear which geeky team you’re on, but it’s not glaring.

5) Witch Coat

Hot Topic

Hot Topic recently released a collection inspired by American Horror Story and it included this stunning witch coat. Inspired by the third season Coven, the long black coat has a hood and can pass as a regular fashionable piece of outerwear before you open it up. That’s when the red occult symbol lining is revealed!

This is another coat that will not only fit with the season because of the weather, but because it will be especially fun to wear around Halloween.

6) Harley Quinn hoodie scarf

Sometimes you need to throw on a scarf to keep out the chill—and as a bonus, they can be a fun accessory that adds pizzazz to your outfit. You might as well go geeky in that department too. That’s where this scarf inspired by the popular DC Comics villain comes in. You don’t need a Mister J in your life to show off your Harley Quinn side! Sold by Etsy shop cleighcreations, this scarf has a cute hood, so you’ll be ready if your head gets cold too.

7) Math scarf

Any mathematically minded geeks will want to check out the three styles of math scarves offered by ThinkGeek. You can choose from three different designs: the Golden RatioPi, and Infinity. The website states that the scarves are made from a feather-weight cotton gauze, which makes them great scarves for fall, before you might need to bring out heavier scarves for winter.

8) d20 Scarf

Roll the dice and try another scarf from Etsy this season. Cyberoptix has these pashmina scarves featuring a stylish d20 dice screenprint design. You can even customize it by choosing from a number of colors and design prints to create the ideal scarf to match your fall wardrobe.

9) Disney Ariel raglan tee

For those warm fall days you might want to go with a look like this raglan tee with three-quarter sleeves. Disney fans will love this shirt featuring The Little Mermaid—especially its cosy and comfy material.

10) Harry Potter long sleeve pullover

Harry Potter Shop

Potterheads can take some fashion sense from Harry Potter and wear this long-sleeve pullover shirt. The style is right out of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and matches the shirt worn by Harry during the Triwizard Tournament. When the weather turns chilly, these longer sleeves will be what wizards and muggles alike need to say warm.

11) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fleece

Junk Food Clothing

If you want to add some turtle power to your closet, here’s the perfect long sleeve top. This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fleece features all four of our favorite turtle heroes from the classic ‘80s animated series. It might even be warm enough that you don’t need a jacket, so you can just pull it on and be ready to go. Retro cartoons are never out of style.
