Bethesda Softworks has finally confirmed development of Fallout 4, but that’s about all we know.

The 24-hour countdown clock that began ticking down on Bethesda’s website Tuesday revealed the new Fallout today that’s stingy with the details, as most early reveals tend to be.

Word broke earlier than expected about the reveal, as the teaser site for the video went live early, and a fan pulled a thumbnail. The first-person perspective shot of walking through the wasteland with a dog evokes the memory of Dogmeat, a companion of the hero of Fallout 3.

Stills from the teaser site also leaked early. An illustration of one of the decrepit gas stations prevalent across both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, includes a set of the Fallout series’ iconic power armor propped up in the garage, with the stylized “Fallout 4” title in the bottom right-hand corner.

As expected, Fallout fans lost their minds, upon getting a look at the teaser site, themselves.

Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 4 will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Not developing for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 means that Fallout 4 will be a visual powerhouse. Fans have plenty to be excited over, even if they really know nothing about the game, yet.

Bethesda is sure to reveal more in a few weeks at its first-ever E3 Showcase.
