You don’t need to play Doom to see a horde of demons rampaging across Earth. Those demons can just hang out on your desk.

Ian Ulmer, a sculptor from Mesa, Arizona, has posted some really cool pictures on his DeviantArt page of handmade Doom action figures, some of which are built from scratch using two-part epoxy, model acrylic paint, and mod podge as a sealant, while others are modifications of existing figures.

We asked Ulmer if he’d share some of his building techniques. “Not much figure swapping,” he told the Daily Dot via email. “Mostly sculpting over the original figure. Usually lots of trimming with a razor and dremel.”

These demons, for example are made by combining a G.I. Joe Sigma 6 Tunnel Rat figure, and a Scourge figure from the Todd McFarlane toys Spawn line. You can see some pictures of the build process for the demons on Ulmer’s pages on Figurerealm.com.

Here’s what it looks like when Ulmer decided an already-cool figure wasn’t cool enough. Would you want the Marine on the far left or the far right?

Ulmer is selling Cacodemons and Pain Elementals figures from Doom and Doom 2 for $20 each on Etsy, and figures of the Doom 3 and Doom 4 versions of Cacodemons for $40 each, if you’d like to build a personal demon horde .

If you want any of the other figures, however, you’re going to have to follow Ulmer’s recipes and make them yourself.  “As for the figures, I love armies,” Ulmer told a commenter on DeviantArt, “so any figures I make go into my ranks.”
