The Chinese side shocked the Columbus semifinalists.

In the biggest upset of the tournament so far, Chinese side Tyloo have eliminated top North American side Team Liquid at DreamHack Malmö.

In a tense best-of-one match, Liquid looked a shadow of the team that carried American hopes just 10 days ago in Columbus.

Tyloo came out of the gate guns blazing, shocking Liquid and jumping out to a 10-5 lead on the terrorist side of Cobblestone. Liquid rebounded and took the lead for the first time at 14-13. The teams traded rounds with Liquid first to match point, but overtime was inevitable.

Tyloo repeated their fast start in the first overtime, taking the first three rounds thanks to a quad kill from Hui "DD" Wu to rescue a two-versus-five situation. Liquid were able to take the next three and force a second overtime, but from there Tyloo were able to secure a hard fought 22-19 victory.

Despite a heroic effort from  Nick "nitr0" Cannella, who scored 44 frags and a quad kill of his own, Liquid underperformed from their heroics in Columbus. This was despite playing with new AWPer Kenneth "koosta"' Suen—though koosta had the AWP taken away from him early in the game and given to Aleksandr "s1mple"' Kostyliev. Koosta scored just 19 kills, bottom fragging for his team.

Tyloo will play the loser of Luminosity Gaming and Mousesports tomorrow for the final spot in the top eight from Group A.

Elsewhere, veteran Markus "pronax" Wallsten's new lineup GODSENT shocked Gamers2, sending the French side out of the tournament, and EnVyUs rebounded from their shock loss to Tempo Storm yesterday to eliminate FaZe Clan.
