Many of us are excited for the new Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, but some of us may be a bit more excited than others.

Comedy troupe 3GI have been running a Super Smash Bros. tournament series for a few years. This tournament doesn’t involve CRT televisions, however, but rather real people and real fire power.

Yes, it’s live action fighting, straight from a backyard somewhere in suburbia. And it's awesome. The team dresses up as their favorite characters from Smash Bros, and start launching fireworks and tasers to mimic Mega-Man’s blaster or Pikachu’s thunderbolt.

It’s exactly as insane and potentially dangerous as you might expect. Seriously kids, don’t try this at home.

'Super Smash Bros.' triumphantly returns to the MLG stage
After a four-year absence, Super Smash Bros. made its triumphant return to a Major League Gaming (MLG) stage over the weekend in Anaheim, Calif. And judging by the reaction of the raucous fans in attendance, it was a successful return.
