The player has some big shoes to fill.

After being one man short for the past week, Team SoloMid has rounded out its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster with the acquisition of Skyler “Relyks” Weaver.

Relyks, who left his previous team Selfless on Aug. 25, established himself as one of the strongest up-and-coming players in the region throughout 2016. While Selfless enjoyed little success in terms of results, Relyks has always been a consistent top performer of the team and could look to compensate for the current TSM roster’s lack of firepower.

“I think there’s a good mix of young talent and experience on the team and I think I’ll fit in pretty easily. I’m excited to get to work and see what we can do,” Relyks said in the official TSM news release.

The player has already moved into the team’s training facility, where he will be playing his first official match with the team against OpTic Gaming in the CyberPowerPC Summer 2016 Pro Series today.

The 21-year-old has his work cut out for him, however, seeing as he is the official replacement for Timothy "autimatic" Ta, who was one of TSM’s stars and is currently on a tear with his new team Cloud9. During the summer months, TSM saw a steady rise in their performance level and even succeeded in playing close games against international superstars such as SK Gaming. All eyes are now on Relyks to see if he can live up to the fierce reputation his predecessor has established in the North American region.
