In YouTube Right Now, the Daily Dot looks at videos that catch our eyes, push our buttons, and move our dials—and that you’ve just got to watch. Right now!

A group of seven Iowa videographers are fed up with the way their state has been portrayed by the mainstream media leading up to the Iowa caucuses tomorrow.

In retaliation, the IowaFilmmakers, as they’re known on YouTube, have released the video “Iowa Nice,” which profanely shoots down every perceived stereotype about people who live in Iowa.

“What about farmers you say? You think farmers are hillbillies? Sit down son. One Iowa farmer feeds 155 of you. Do you like to eat? Looks like it,” says Scott Siepker, an actor who stars in the video.

At one point, he stuffs angel-food cake into his mouth while touting Iowa’s low unemployment rate.

Uploaded four hours ago, “Iowa Nice” has already made it to Reddit’s front page in a thread titled “Bitches think they know Iowa.” Video views are frozen at 304 views—a typical sign that views are accumulating faster than YouTube’s buggy algorithms can keep up.

Of the hundred comments on YouTube on the video so far, most show that  the video’s goal seems to have worked.

“I officially have a whole new respect for Iowa,” wrote Koru.

Besides “Iowa Nice,” the same group of Iowa filmmakers are working on “Valentine Road,” a Web series which takes place in Prohibition-era Iowa.
